During one of our 2018 writing workshops at Taylors Lakes Primary in Melbourne, Emma Herbert shared this fantastic vocabulary display idea that could be used to support students to select more descriptive words.

Emma's display is based on The Hamburger Model: Generic structure of most text types found on page 28 of The Writing Book. Using the hamburger concept, Emma posed the following question to her students:

'Can you add fries to your burger to make your writing more interesting?'
