Use the video as motivation for writing. Students could write a factual description or collect facts for a report. 

Suggestions:

  • Use the Define it activity on page 60 of The Oral Language Book to support students to develop their understanding of some of the topic-specific vocabulary. 
  • Use the Four square notes activity on page 110 of The Oral Language Book to support students to practise note-taking, information listening and summarising.
